Composer: Hackett, Henry
Sample Producer: Lavender Audio
Sample Set: Hereford Cathedral Willis Organ
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Romantic
Description:
Henry Hackett (1872-1940) was an organist at churches in Birmingham, West Bromwich, Burton-on-Trent and Bideford. He was a regular contributor to the journal 'The Organ' He composed anthems, communion settings piano pieces and songs as well as a number of organ compositions which were published both in England and the USA.

I came across this piece in an old album published in 1933 entitled ‘The English Organist’. The Choeur Triomphale in D has recently been re-published with some of his other music by Bardon Music http://www.bardon-music.com/music.php?id=h_to_k&lang=en&curr=eur

The youtube video shows me playing this on the large Kenneth Tickell organ in Worcester Cathedral. Worcester is about 25 miles from Hereford.
