Description: | If someone was asked to guess an organ piece joyful, crystal-clear written and very concise, probably he would not think first of Max Reger :-). But, IMHO, such is this trio.
There are 3 versions :
-Waltershausen
- Wernigerode at 2'05
- Dortmund at 4'15.
The pitches are those indicated by Reger : RH 8-4, LH 8, PED 16-8.
It's perhaps odd (or worse : musicologically incorrect ..., awful, awful, awful) to play Reger on Walteshausen. But this organ's clear tone suits well to the piece and it provides a good balance between principal for RH, flutes for LH and strings for PED.
Sorry for the slips and rhythmical inaccuracies :-) |
