Praeludium in a BuxWv 153 Uploaded by: PLRT Composer: Buxtehude, Dieterich Organ: OAM Steinkirchen and Stade Software: Hauptwerk IV Views: 357
There have been here an there some questions about the differences beetween Stade and Steinkirchen. If it can help, BuxWv 153 is recorded here on both of them (Stade begins at 6'05). For Steinkirchen, the balance is 75% Front + 100% Rear.
Buxtehude writing in this piece is, IMHO, sometimes amazingly modern (the scale at 5'20 or 11'30, or the final cadenza).
Can't decide for any preference : I have an equal pleasure to use each of these sets.
