This guy is new to me. However, the price for his organ books was cheap enough on Amazon so I thought why not? They are described as being a collection of easy pieces - they can be played on manuals or with pedals. We've all been in situations where we need some music fast that sounds good and is sight readable. Well this books seems to fit the bill.
I forgot to take a week's worth of stuff to upload when I went on holiday, so you get three groups of three to make up! Just been up north of England visiting some of the wonderful Cathedrals - Durham, York Minster, Rippon, Wakefield, Lichfield and Derby. Standing next to 32 foot Open Wood pipes and 32 foot Diapasons is such a great experience! After seeing some of the large instruments and beauty of them, it makes me thankful that Hauptwerk exists, which makes it within the realm of possibility for us all to have wonderful, cathedral sized organs with acoustics to match!
This book contains numerous short preludes and chorals, as well as other short works under two minutes long. I will combine some together every so often. No rhyme or reason why these are grouped together. This contains a Children's Prayer, Canon and Melody. These are all quite similar in mood and registration - more quiet and reflective.
1. 6. Children's Prayer
2. 8. Canon
3. 11. Melody
