Description: | This is a transcription of the last allegro from Bach's concerto for 4 keyboards and strings BWV 1065, in a minor.
The original is itself an adaptation and reworking by Bach after Vivaldi's concerto in b minor for 4 violins and strings from the Estro Armonico.
And the organ transcription is a personal mix of the three edited transcriptions : by Guy Bovet (for 80%), Daniel Maurer (for 15%) and André Isoir (for the remaining).
The registration was :
- RW plenum for the tutti
- UW flutes and strings 8,4,2 for the soli
- PED principals 16-8-4 + flote 2
No coupling
It's still a work in progress (a bit painful, and the 1st movement promises to require much time for learning). It would be very useful to know your opinion about the tempo : while playing, I felt it as full speed but, when listening, it seems now a bit cushy. Thanks in advance :-) |
