There are three movements :
- without indication (Allegro)
- Largo at 5'00
- Allegro at 7'10.
This is an organ transcription of Bach's concerto BWV 1065 for 4 harpsicords and strings, which is itself an transcription/rewriting by Bach of a Vivaldi's concerto in B minor for 4 violins and strings (n°10 from l'Estro Armonico).
The organ transcription is mainly by Guy Bovet, but for some small borrowings to André Isoir's and Daniel Maurer's transcriptions.
The mild sounds of the Riepp suggested rather "chamber music" registrations.
The tempo of the first part is clearly on the slow side. Some unfortunate faster trials proved I had no choice but to content myself with such a cautious tempo, which may be disturbing for the listeners accustomed to the original.
