Description: | Jean Langlais wrote a wonderful little collection of 24 pieces, not all "easy" but certainly all wonderful music.
Excuse my playing - I've been spending my time editing these samples (not practicing), so I basically sat down and bashed this demo out...
Here you can see the French Character of the Casavant - soft fonds on the Great, Swell, with the SW oboe added for that typical fonds sound. Later in the piece, I wanted more crescendo, so I added in the Solo Gambe and Orchestral Oboe, layering the dynamics in perhaps a bit more complex way than the composer originally intended.
Then, back down, down, down... boxes close, back to the SW (with a cameo appearance of the Solo again at the end, and the addition of the 32' Bourdon on the las chord.
Enjoy! |
