Villemo Daneling (b. 1977) — Minimalistic Suite for Organ (2019)
“Minimalistic Suite for Organ” (2019) comprises three brief movements, each with a particular rhythmic character and clear-lined textures and all based on the same musical material. The title refers less to the musical genre of minimalism and more to aesthetic of lifestyle minimalism, of which the composer is a practitioner. As is often true in Daneling’s work, there is a blend of harmonic elements from classical music with some influences from pop and folk music.
Villemo Daneling (b. 1977) was born in Västerås, Sweden and was raised in Tomelilla.
