This is the first of 3 new uploads featuring pieces I have shared before but in new performances with the opportunity to hear the new Chemnitz sample set. When I played this piece before some found my approach a bit too fast, I have slowed down (a bit - on listening back not as much as I intended!). This organ is very stylistically pure, very typical German Romantic of its time and restored exactly as Sauer built it in 1908. The crescendo pedal is engaged during this piece, and hence controls all the registration - a major decrescendo and then crescendo is demonstrated in the final sections. This upload uses the Diffuse perspective only. I found this a little too close up for me, subsequent pieces use a different perspective.
