Composer: Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Felix
Sample Producer: Sonus Paradisi
Sample Set: Chemnitz - Lutherkirche, Sauer
Software: Hauptwerk V
Genre: Classicism
Description:
For this recording I've contrasted flute and string choruses on each manual with each other to demonstrate the elegant tonal colors of this instrument.
First the I Manual Bourdon 8', then II Manual Konzertflöte 8' then the Aeoline and Voix Celeste on Manual III. In the middle of the piece we hear the harmonic 8' Doppelflöte and the Röhrflöte and Quintaton together contrasted with all the 8' strings of the III Manual.
Please excuse the few wrong notes, when I started to get into the double digits of recording takes, it was time to be satisfied with 'good enough' :)
