Thomas Tomkins (1572-1656) was Organist and Master of the Choristers at Worcester Cathedral from around 1595, a post he retained for most of his life.
This Verse is played on the sample set of Hereford Cathedral, which is about 25 miles from Worcester. The video shows me playing this piece on an organ of 1667 built by Ralph Dallam which resides in Worcester Cathedral where Tomkins was organist. This instrument was rebuilt by Samuel Green in 1774 and subsequently restored in 1981 by Peter Wood. The display pipes were originally enclosed by two doors. Most of the pipework and the wind-chest date from 1667. The keyboard, bellows and casework are from 1774.
