Description: | Christian Brembeck plays this piece according to Karl Straube's Bach reception, inspired by a performance by Käthe van Tricht (a student of Karl Straube) on the Sauer organ of Bremen.

A today unusual, but very interesting and convincing symphonic result, using the crescendo roller, echo effects etc., which brings us a 100 years back.
Although possible to play this in a "neo-baroque" fashion on the 1925 Steinmeyer by using sub- and super-octave couplers with the brighter mixtures, a hundred years ago there was still no awareness of it or it was lost. |
