This sample set is of a 1-manual organ in Somerset, UK built by WH Prosser circa 1883.
Unusually for a single manual instrument, all but the largest ranks are enclosed, which substantially increases the versatility of the organ. This sample set includes samples recorded both at the console and a little way away, with volume controls for mixing the two sample sets. Different choices/mixes of the samples will suit different acoustics and speaker systems. For my house console I most prefer both sample sets together. The church acoustics in Somerset and this sample set are both dry. After trying different levels of added reverb, this recording was made without any additional reverb as I most liked the sound of the organ as it is.
