Description:
You wait ten years for a recording of P&C no. 4 and then two come along at once.

Just like user PLRT (https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/user/908) I spotted that Elgar's march had been arranged by G Robertson Sinclair, organist at Hereford, and just like that user I had the bright idea of using the Hereford organ. Their recording is here: https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/44151 - much closer to the composer's original tempo marking. My fingers and feet are less nimble!

As PLRT notes, Sinclair was also the dedicatee of the piece. Judging by the front cover (the same as the front cover of the piano edition I've linked to below) the original publishers brought out this edition as a job lot with a number of parallel editions.

I've stuck closely to Sinclair's original registration instructions. Since the Hereford instrument is almost unchanged since his time it seems foolish not to - I am, in general, a fan of taking the composer's/arranger's instructions both literally and seriously when there's no reason to do anything else. And the Hereford organ is essentially unchanged since Sinclair's day. Among other things this has the effect of making the first entry of the big tune ("Gt: Claribel with Swell." and "Soft swell") a huge contrast with the bridging passage ("Gt. Diap: and 16 ft: with Sw: reeds") immediately prior.

There are no instructions as to pedal registration, expect for the inevitable coupling to the tuba for the short statement of the big tune in the coda, so I've taken the liberty of adding the 32' Bombarde part way through the second, home key, statement of the big tune.

Piano edition on IMSLP: https://imslp.org/wiki/Pomp_and_Circumstance_March_No.4%2C_Op.39_No.4_(Elgar%2C_Edward). No-one's uploaded this arrangement yet. There's an arrangement by the prolific Maurizio Machello, eccentrically transposed into A, on freescores.com.

NB: Recorded as live and then registered in a second take - my console has no playing aids.
