| Description: | Clément Loret (1833-1909) was a Belgian organist and composer and was a Lemmens' pupil. He established in France in his twenties, and was one of the performers for the dedication of Notre-Dame's organ in 1868.
He was parent of Hyppolyte Loret, who was a leading organbuilder in Belgium. H. Loret built a nice sounding and solid organ (II-roughly 30 stops) for the chapel of the school where I made my secondary studies in Britanny (no interest, but it makes pleasure to tell it).
The cantilène is a small sweet piece with a nice an whirling melody. The first bars make me think of some pop music, I don't know why.
The solo stops are :
- the klarinette to begin
- the waldhorn at 0:33
- the doppelflöte at 1:08
an then back to the Klarinette. |
