Sample Set: 1925 G.F. Steinmeyer, Berlin, Germany
Software: Hauptwerk VI
Genre: Romantic / impressionist
Description:
Joseph Bonnet (1864-1944) was the organist of St Eustache, in Paris. He was considered as a most infallible and flamboyant virtuoso. He wrote many "character pieces" and this Rêverie among them.

It's first a sweet and wandering flute melodie - andante - accompanied a gentle rollicking on the the voix céleste. After, comes a more animated central part. And the first theme comes back, accompanied now by the vox humana (melody on bourdons 16-8 coupled to the vox humana).

Bonnet's pieces haven't always aged that well, but some have and this one has -imho- kept much charm.
