Description: | Sigfrid Karg-Elert (November 21, 1877 – April 9, 1933) was a German composer in the early twentieth century, best known for his compositions for pipe organ and reed organ.
Chorale prelude from Op65. piece 5, on 'Freu dich sehr, O meine Seele'. In my book from when I started playing organ about 15 years ago it has a big X mark and 'rubbish tune' written on the score. I guess time has a way of changing tastes! I quite enjoy this piece now.
The score can be found on IMSLP in book 1: https://imslp.org/wiki/Special:ReverseLookup/5768
Hope you enjoy
