Description:	Gustav Adolf Merkel (November 12, 1827, Oberoderwitz, Kingdom of Saxony – October 30, 1885, Dresden) was a German organist and composer. Influenced by Mendelssohn. Taught by Schumann and held the appointment as organist at Dresden Cathedral (I've heard the organ there, it is a mightily impressive organ!) This was one of the first pieces I learned for organ way back in 2006/07!! Hope you enjoy John
