Toccata op.53 n°6

Some weeks ago, I heard Vierne's Toccata played by Daniel Roth at Saint-Sulpice and it really made me change my mind about this piece.

I used to play it at roughly 84-86 (vs score indication at 96). This moderate tempo is good for clarity but, after listening Mr Roth playing it a good deal faster, I thought that the moderate tempo didn't do full justice to the dark and frantic character of this toccata.

So, I tried to play it around 92 which required to change a good deal of fingerings which didn't do the job at this faster tempo and a good deal of working hours. Was it worth ? I guess, but the opposite opinion is quite sustainable.
