Enjoying Robcamfield's recent fine upload of Alain's beautiful Aria gave ma the déclic to upload another "Alain's aria", of much more modest span : it's the Vocalise dorienne.

It's a short, simple and beautiful (IMHO) meditative melody for organ and voice which Alain wrote for his sister Marie-Odile who was a good singer. The transcription for organ only is quite straightforward, the flûte harmonique filling the singer's role.

Afterwards, Alain re-used this melody as an Ave Maria.
