Prelude on "Jesus Loves Me"

Gordon Young was born in McPherson, Kansas on October 15, 1919. He earned a bachelor's degree in music at Southwestern College, Winfield. He then began studying organ with Alexander McCurdy at the Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia. Over the years, he wrote numerous arrangements of hymn tunes as well as original works for organ. While some folks look down on his music, it is usually very well-written, and often sounds much harder than it is.
