Regensburg Dom St. Peter has two organs - the great organ and the smaller choir organ, both played from the two consoles and both included in this sample set. This recording uses only the choir organ, whose capabilities on their own would satisfy most organists.
Pachelbel wrote the Canon in D for 3 violins and continuo. It is his best known work and probably the only one known to most people outside the organ world.
