Jean Vadon (1887-1973) studied with Guilmant and Vierne and was a professor at the Schola Cantorum as well as organist at a number of Parisian churches. This Easter toccata combines the melodies of O Filii and Haec Dies, first playing them separately, and then in combination. While this is originally a humble Harmonium piece, when the melodies combine, I chose to play them on the Bombarde and Pedale, adding double Pedal and continuing the arpeggios on the G.O. I think it transforms this piece into an awesome rendition for the Grand Organ!
