Paule Piédelièvre (b. July 7, 1902 - d. March 11, 1964) was a pupil of Louis Vierne and organist of Notre-Dames-des-Champs and l'Eglise-des-Etrangers in Paris. She taught at the Schola Cantorum, and wrote several organ works, among them this brilliant Toccata on the Easter chant "Haec Dies". Hearing music like this makes me wish she had left more music, as it is a rollicking joyful ROMP!
