Joseph Reveyron was born in Lyons on September 2nd, 1917. He studied organ, harmony and counterpoint with Edouard Commette (1883-1967). He was appointed Commette's assistant at the Primatiale Saint-Jean in Lyons in 1954. When his teacher died, Reveyron became his successor as titulaire.
"Temps d'orgue" constitutes a sequence of 10 very brief 'moments' which may serve to punctuate the liturgy. When arranged in groups, they are also suitable for recital use. The first three are presented here:
