A brief impression of the new edition of 1854/80 Ducroquet-Cavaillé-Coll Aix-en-Provence.
Truly a set that is a lot of fun for French music.
I especially like the fantastic reed voices, particularly the trumpets.
The three small preludes by Guilmant sound fantastic and make me want to delve even deeper into the sample set. |
