Ach bleib mit deiner Gnade (op. 65,1)

The first piece in Karg-Elert's monumental Op. 65 Choral Improvisations, a lovely little trio.

I'm going to be posting some of these over the next few days - and a special note applies:

Hauptwerk old-timers might remember James Pressler, an early adopter and enthusiast of HW. James was a professional organist, but lost the ability to play due to a stroke. He painstakingly crafted musical MIDI renditions and used HW as an outlet to continue playing. There are still quite a few of his creations uploaded here under the username JOCR.

James was a dear friend, and early member of my development team. Alas, he passed away in 2014.

Before he passed, he made me his musical executor of sorts - gave me access to his website and all of his MIDI files. Unfortunately, I didn't have access to the domain, only the host, so I was unable to continue the site once the domain expired. I did archive (download) the entire site before cancelling the hosting.

This is James' rendition. Rest in peace, old friend, your memory is a blessing.
