Description:

Iba is a district of the city of Bebra in East Hesse.

The church is consecrated to "St. Jacob" and had a proud time in 1356 because it served as a pilgrimage church. On the so-called James Ways, people came from far and wide and contributed to the wealth of the community with their donations. The two parts of the church can still be clearly distinguished from the outside: the nave from the 13th century and the choir from the late Middle Ages. Finally, the current appearance of the church was created by joining the two parts of the building in 1781 with a half-timbered structure.
