This guy is new to me. However, the price for his organ books was cheap enough on Amazon so I thought why not? They are described as being a collection of easy pieces - they can be played on manuals or with pedals. We've all been in situations where we need some music fast that sounds good and is sight readable. Well this books seems to fit the bill.
The 16th piece is this charming pastorale showcasing flutes and Krummhorn. Not much to say - a pastorale is a pastorale: drone notes and triple time. However, there is an interesting little section where the swell opens and shuts rapidly, and I only realised listening back that it sounds like a 'cuckoo'.
Flor Peeters (1903 - 1986) was a Belgian organist, composer and teacher. To read more about him visit
