Composer: Bach, J. S.
Sample Set: Walthershausen and Groningen Martinikerk
Software: Hauptwerk V
Genre: Baroque
Description:
Learning a complete trio sonata was intended to be a project for the confinement days. It proved to be also quite an effective penance for Lent :-)
The positive side is that I now love the central adagio, which I had until then felt as wandering from nowhere to somewhere else with all its long scalloped melismas.

Having organ choice hesitations, it became tempting to use two quite different German baroque organs :
- Waltershausen, Thuringian, rather stringy and dry, thereby precise and perfect for chamber music ;
- Groningen, north-German (even if in Netherlands), with "pure" principals and flutes and a more generous acoustics.
In the neighbouring, there is also an upload with a casual try of the 1st movement on the light flutes of the Strassburg' Wenner (file to big for a single upload with the other two organs).

- I at 0:00 for Groningen, at 12:10 for Waltershausen
- II at 3:14 (no pun intended) for Groningen, at 15:26 for Waltershausen
- III at 7:44 for Groningen, at 19:53 for Walthershausen.

If my former teacher listened to that, she would say "Now, let it mature", which means once deciphered "My poor boy, it's not good and if you persist just now in this poor sonata it will go even worse".
