in 2012 I picked up this Casavant Freres console in a parking garage in downtown Vancouver. Removed from Christ Church Cathedral in 2003 it toured several churches with great plans, but it was abandoned in the end.
I want to honour its original builder. I only use the Metz sample set (the Casavant brothers were trained by Cavaille Coll in France). It is my plan to hide the HW technology as much as possible: focus on the art of playing and the quality of the sound, and the craftsmanship of the console.
I make recordings when I have time... usually a Saturday or Sunday evening late...
