Composer: Bach, J. S.
Sample Set: on nine different potential "Bach organs"
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Baroque
Description:
9 live versions of BWV 541 to compare several "Bach organs" in this piece. Three cautions :
- each organ would sound differently with other registrations, of course ;
- this is a "happy plenum" piece ; impressions could be different for "metaphysical massive plenum" pieces like 544, 548 or 546 ;
- be kind enough not to consider the playing. The aim is to demonstrate just different organs sound. Each time, I used the first take unless there was a major crash before the end of the take.
The organs are (in order)
Stade
Kampen at 3'20
Freiberg at 6'35
Waltershausen at 9'50
Velesovo at 13'15
Arlesheim at 16'40
Zwolle at 19'55
Ebersmunster (half Bach, half French) at 23'10
St Maximin at 26'30 (not exactly a Bach organ, but...)
Hope it can be useful.
