Description:
André Fleury (1903-1995) was one of the most renowned French virtuosos of the period 1930-1970, and also a very tall, affable (and talkative too) man.

Aside big piece (2 symphonies -Prélude, andante and toccata - ...) he also composed a book of 24 little piece around 1930-33.

This Allegretto is one of them and -IMHO only - one of the best pieces among all Fleury's compositions : a very singing melody above a gentle and constant flow of arpeggios, and very refined harmonies, the whole having a very "fauréan" flavour. And a good piece to showcase the flutes of an organ.
